What does the Nominating Committee do?

The nominating committee receives and reviews submitted applications issued each year by the MAAF Board for open director positions. The Nominating Committee will interview all applicants at the Annual Meeting of the Maine Association of Agricultural Fairs. Date and place of interviews will be posted at the registration desk. This committee then selects an individual(s) to fill the open position.

Who makes up this committee

The nominating committee consists of 5 members. The Immediate Past President and one representative appointed from each of the following, President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President and one individual elected annually from the floor at the annual meeting.

How to become a Director

Directors are nominated by completing the Nomination Application. This application will need to have an endorsement from the president or secretary of a MAAF Fair Member.
